    Uncommon souvenirs from Catalina Island, California.
    We think the Baggage Check dates from about 1950, meant to identify luggage stowed on the Catalina Island Steamship traveling from Island Villa, Avalon to the Wilmington Terminal.
    The very creatively, hand-carved conch probably also comes from the 1950's.  Our gallery attempts to show the dolphins, seagulls and a rippling sea revealed by the artist in a relief rendering.  The gilded "Catalina" was applied.
