Like at the bottom of a shallow inland sea. But you are looking for them! And they are there, hidden among the broken boulders and tunnels of shifting light. You see evidence. You see casts. You see an enormous plate with hellacious possibility!  What?!? Where in the heck did this enormous section of old seafloor come from? You try to count the crinoids, but give up. There are thirty-five Platycrinites Bozemanensis on this plate. Thirty-five of them. And you don’t have to make the 12 mile hike out!
