    Over an Easter weekend, Nick, a young New York college student, and his best friend Ralph, visiting from Wisconsin, take over an out of town art student's squalid tenement in the lower east side, for a potentially romantic weekend with Nick's girlfriend Kathy and her best friend Bernstein, who's intent on loosing her virginity. As the boys attempt to clean up in anticipation of the girls arrival, they discover the apartment shares a bathroom with the neighbors, Alfred, a be-bop saxophonist, who practices in the bathroom, and his girlfriend Clea.
