Here’a lean and flowing—some would say graceful—crinoid from the Mississippian. It hearkens back to the Warsaw Formation and to the fecund sea beds which came to be our middle United States.  A rare crinoid from a tough location, it lies here on a piece of matrix section which measures approximately 9” x 3 1/2” x 1” and weighs 1 lb., 14.2 ounces.
