    Historic HIOUCHI BRIDGE Hand Painted VASE Souvenir China CRESCENT CITY Calif.
    Typical souvenir china vase sold by Jonroth in the 1930s, featuring sleek, modern, contemporary styling was quite the contrast from the earlier Victorian embellished vases.  Excellent condition with full color scene.  No chips, cracks or repairs.  Hallmarked on bottom "Imported and Painted for K. Mac Kenzie Crescent City, California".  Measures approximately 4" tall.  Our vintage souvenirs are packed securely for safe arrival.
    HISTORIC
    The 1929 Smith River Bridge, also known as the Hiouchi Bridge, was a rare example of a cantilever highway truss bridge within California, until it was demolished in 1989.  The two-lane road bridge carried California State Highway 197 across the Smith River.
