Basis for the 1988 film, directed by Matt Clark. In 1968, a young expatriate writer returns to his childhood home in Dalkey after the death of his adoptive father, and finds himself forced to contend with his troubled familial past-as well as the literal ghosts of his parents and his younger self. Received four Tony Awards, including Best Play and Best Direction.
Set in Dalkey, County Dublin.
