Description

This Indonesia 10,000 Rupiah banknote from 1985 is part of the 1984 - 1988 series. Its front design features the country's national emblem along with a portrait of Indonesian womens rights activist, Raden Ayu Kartini, and the Hindu Temple of Prambanan, a UNESCO's World Heritage Site. The reverse side features a female student in a black toga and mortarboard holding her diploma and the flag. The note measures 158 x 80 mm and contains a solid security thread printed with INDONESIA to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would reflect a watermark image of Indonesian independence leader Tjipto Mangoenkoesoemo.
