Macrocrinus Verneuilianus crinoid calyx fossil

Description

Up for sale is a superb Macrocrinus verneuilianus crinoid calyx fossil. This ancient echinoderm hails from the Burlington Formation of Missouri, which is Mississippian in geologic age. The 3D crinoid calyx is removable from the encrinite limestone, and was prepped/ removed carefully so it would also fit back in nice and snug onto it's original matrix home. The last photo shows as found before I did any work. The limestone measures 4 x 3 inches in length, with the calyx coming in at .75 inches in length. Feel free to ask if you have a question.
