Madame Alexander 11.5" Yvonne Dionne Quint

Sweet Dionne babies, 5 in all. Born into poverty in 1930's Ontario, Canada to a couple who already had about 4 children. It's a very sad story.  I'm not a fan of Dr.Defoe, who helped bring the babies into the world. I felt he was somewhat of an opportunist. At any rate, let's talk about Yvonne!
She is all composition with minimal crazing. Her eyes were badly crackled, so I recently painted them and gave her back her black pupils. Hair is molded.
She wears a light cotton dress, white with pale pink trim. It's topped with a pink velvet coat (tagged) and matching bonnet. Her lyle socks appear original, but the soft vinyl shoes are not. She would have had oil cloth tie shoes, I'm certain. Still, the shoes fit and - I admit - they look cute. She wears her original pin...YAY!
Now, it's late here in Maryland and has been raining, so the pictures are with yellowish artificial lighting. The pink coat is more of a cotton candy color - very nice. Her panties are a bit saggy around one leg. I'll probably sew it, but if you want her and prefer I not do that, please reach out. There is a tiny speckle of dirt or ink on the very surface of the velvet fibers to the front of Yvonne's coat.
I have displayed her in my smoke-free home away from direct sunlight. I paid 0 for her, so I think my price is very reasonable. Thanks for looking at my child!
