Royal Vienna Style Hand Painted Ruth Flowers Raised Gold Green & Pink Plate
Nice porcelain dinner sized cabinet plate. Decorated in the Royal Vienna style with a portrait of Ruth with wheat. The scene is framed by a wide band of gold gilding along the inner rim with raised gold floral designs and gold beading. With a pale green border with green and pink sections with raised gold gilt floral, scrollwork and net designs, and hand painted flowers in pink, purple, yellow, and orange. Gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the reverse with a blue underglaze pseudo Royal Vienna shield / beehive above Germany in overglaze blue. Also signed with the name of the scene, Ruth.
Has an in manufacture stacking flake to the foot rim, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
Measures approximately 9 1/2 inches wide.
