VERY RARE, 13 1/2" vintage antique, Mme. Alexander, "Susie Q", 1938 cloth doll

DARLING,
13 1/2" tall, "Susie Q"
, stuffed cloth character doll by
Madame Alexander
from the
1938 comic strip
. Susie still has all her clothing and has huge, painted
blue
, side-glancing (googly shaped) eyes, red striped legs, green felt and doted swiss dress with matching green felt coat with
rose pink felt collar and ribbon trim
. This sweet faced, early cloth doll has bright yellow yarn hair, bangs and long braids
tied with rose pink ribbons
beneath her white felt bonnet with rose pink ribbon ties. She has a comical expression, molded pug nose, long eyelashes and rosy cheeks. She also has molded flat feet to stand and mitt-shaped hands with separate thumbs. Susie has red striped legs with
white felt spats with black button closures
over her black felt shoes. Greeting card and box are NOT included. S
he is in very good condition with no stains, fading and no odors as she is from a smoke free home.
